Form II
Form is the thing which give the product identity by shape.
so i think form is a thing which give identity, emotion to product so product without good form is nothing like movie without story.
and good thing in form is that normal human eyes are able to identify good and bad form. so before design any product its necessary to give some different size shape which may be inspired by somewhere like nature or any existing shape.
so to learn that things we had subject for that.... called "FORM-II"
lets start...
On the first days we had to draw some basic product sketch and identification how that two and more surface are merging and draw large scale or zoom sketch.
In that zoom sketch i select one measuring tap, oral-b toothbrush and small lock.
after this week excises i improve my detail sketching skill and also detail observation of any product and how that surface merging is happening.
When i was started to draw that thing i was thinking there is no use of such excises but after my 1st sketch i seen so many thing are happening in that single joint and that surface like measuring tap has that metal hook at that there are two kind of bending occurs one in that longitudinal way and other is on that cross way.
On next week we have some more interesting excises. In that 1st we have to write some 50 word by which i can depict my self by that words.
after that we have class discussion on that words and thy would select 5 words and finally 1 out of that.
and i got sober.
its so simple word to understand that word but its so difficult to draw on paper for one engineer.
so i search some synonyms and meaning for that word by taking some help of google.
i got "Lacking brightness or color; dull"
so at that time i was thinking a shape that not directly come to your eye by looking so i make some round shape on my A4 paper......
After some exploration on that word we had same discussion on that sketch and feedback also and in that my class mate had to decide which words are you getting from this sketches.
they told its look like organic, soft, merge...
i didn't get what i want.
so again i done some more exploration on that feed back words like simple, sober, soft, merge, organic...
now i had some idea to what to do.
so some more exploration on that 5 words....
after that sketching portion i had to select one shape or form and again making 3D view of that form
and finally i had to make 3D shapes on thermocol and more exploration again...
Now finally we came to our final conclusion of this excises to come out with some product base on that form
And i selected light table as a product
Because the light table is so a product which come so bulky and big so i think lets try my form with this product.
